Yes – Google Chrome OS is an open source project and will be available to use at no cost.

The Google Chrome OS team is currently working with a number of technology companies to design and build devices that deliver an extraordinary end user experience. Among others, these companies include Acer, Adobe, ASUS, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, and Toshiba.

  • People already have a lot of questions about the Chrome OS, Google is walking on Microsoft and Apple field, as is being widely speculated only one question remaining – they´ll won this battle?
  • I´ll read more about this OS and keep you posted about Google developments for now with this start list of partners seems that google is in a good move to compete with the giants of Operative Systems.

    Google is going to rock… look to that partner list!!!

    • Yea Nuno. I saw one rising shin for Google company… they start to develop web App´s and gained many trusted users and step by step they´ll won space on different markets. Web 30% with Chrome, and now OS! That partner list is too good to start, but let´s wait for more news and updates.
